Owen County S.O.U.N.D.S.

A good time was had by all who attended our end of summer picnic—-good food, company and good music from the SOUNDS students. The new pieces they have been
working on this summer where well done.

Some things that everyone needs to know:
1) Our officers for this coming year are — President, Londa Hight;
V-Pres, Susan Keller; Secretary, Sandy Wood; Treasurer, Doris Scully.
Congratulations and thanks for all your time dedicated to the program.
Please give them your support.
2) New contracts to sign for lessons & fees (Starting in September,
fees will change for those taking 45 & 60 minute lessons).
3) Behavioral guidelines expected of all students need to be read and
signed.
4) If you are renting an instrument from SOUNDS, your new contract is
ready to be signed and your $25 insurance fee is due in September.
5) Your teacher has all of these forms that need to be signed.
6) Teachers are getting the school schedule ready for lessons and group
times.
7) We have been awarded 2 different grants for the coming year. This
will help with some of the operating expenses.
8) August 18th, 6:00, SOUNDS will be performing at the Owen Valley
Health Campus (across from WalMart). Wear your red shirt and bring your
music. It should last for about one hour.

Hope everyone has a good start to a new school year. Keep those strings
playing.
